Since 1951, the Vitteaut-Alberti family has made the highest quality Crémants de Bourgogne.
The 9 ha (22.5 acre) estate owns vineyards in the best locations of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. The family produces its quality sparkling from its own harvest and a strict selection of the noble Burgundian varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté.
Blanc de Blanc - All about finesse, this wine is ideal for a cocktail or with a meal. Although this crémant is a lovely treat on its own, it can also be blended with cassis or other fruit wines to make a fruity, delicious cocktail.
The blend is 80% chardonnay and 20% aligoté
Special selection "Coup de coeur" in the Guide Hachette 2009: This crémant is dressed in gold, surrounded by a ring of delicate foam. Its intense aromas are of ripe fruit with a hint of honey. Gentle and with citrus undertones, it reveals itself fully on the palate. The flavors are intense and long. The richness does not overpower the elegance. A meal sparkling (fish in cream sauce).
Rosé
- Its color and discreet aromas allow this wine to accompany certain
meat dishes. It can also be enjoyed for a cocktail or with dessert.
A comparative tasting of 140 different crémant rosé from all over France in October 2008 found Vitteaut-Alberti's rosé in second place overall. From the jury: Known and recognized for its quality, Vitteaut-Alberti proposes a 100% pinot noir rosé (grapes from the côte chalonnaise and the côte de Beaune) which reveals a beautiful, intense pink color. The bubble is refined, the aromas very expressive, with notes of red fruits that we are looking for from such a wine. The flavor is that of a rich, full wine, all the while maintaining a lot of refinement. Delicious!
Grapes are always harvested by hand. When pressed, the resulting
juice is of great quality. Assembly of wines is performed early in
order to obtain the perfect balance and remarkable personality that
characterizes Vitteaut-Alberti's Crémants.
Wines are bottled in the spring and aged in cellars. The second fermentation starts slowly and lasts for a period of approximately 8 weeks, which allows the wine to obtain small, fine bubbles and a light foam. Nine months later, the bottles are inclined 45° downward. Daily turning of the bottles gives the wine its sparkle.
Then comes the "dégorgement" when the final touches and cork are put in place.
Vitteaut Alberti Crémant sparkling wines are best
enjoyed at approximately 6° C or 43° F in a tall flute to better
appreciate their delicate bubbles and complex aromas.
For three generations, the Vitteaut-Alberti family has produced an authentic sparkling wine with the varietals from this unique "terroir". Their crémant is a bright wine with subtile aromas, delicate foam and light bubbles - perfect for any occasion.
